Shadress Denise is an author, ghostwriter and an artist. Her love for writing poetry stemmed from her need to journal. From there, her craft expanded to writing short stories and then novels. To date, she has written eighteen books. Twelve are published which includes six books of poetry; Disturbia, Liberated, hello. goodbye. never again, Late Night Thoughts Love, Heartbreak & Hangovers, and Tales of a Recovering Love Addict, along with six novels, Smitten Kitten, Who Do You Love trilogy, and her newest series, The SideChick Chronicles.
Shadress is also an award-winning published journalist and the recipient of the 2017 Poverty Journalism Award. She is also a graphic designer and owner of ColorMeBlu Designs, a boutique design firm.
Shadress prides herself on writing stories and poetry for people in all stages of love, heartbreak and healing. Her books deal with real issues including self-love, sex, finding love, infidelity, marriage, friendship, betrayal, healing, domestic violence, crime, and the realities of everyday life.
Shadress currently resides in her urban jungle in Houston, Texas.
